How to use this Site
This site is best viewed with your computer display set to a resolution of 1024 x 768. A display resolution of 800 x 600 will also work well, but will require more scrolling to view each page.
We have made a great effort to keep the navigation and functionality of this site transparent between the various web browsers. However, there are fundamental differences between Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer which are very difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. Listed below are a few tips to help you avoid confusion when anomalies appear:
- The top frame or 'navigation bar ' of all pages remains the same as you browse the site. From here you can access any section of the web site at any time. In all browsers, the HOME button on the top left will always take you to the beginning or "Home Page" of the web site.
- In Netscape Navigator, the BACK button will always take you to the previous page you were viewing - even if you have chosen a page, which is "off-site".
- In Internet Explorer, the BACK button will always work while you remain within the gearup web site. If you leave the site via one of our links to an external web site, the Back button will NOT work. In this case you should click the right mouse button and choose 'BACK' from the menu bar, which will pop up.
- The BACK button at the bottom of any page will always take you to the previous page in either browser.
In general, we feel that Internet Explorer – with the exception of the back-button anomaly – yields the best viewing pleasure.
