This year you'll be doing some new things on the road to college and beyond. Gear Up is here to cheer you on and to provide some new tools for this important year.
This is a good time to find out more about the PSAT and SAT and ACT college admission tests which you will need to take.
The more you know
about them,
the less scary they will be.
You can see sample
PSAT and SAT test questions at the College Board website.
You can also get a free booklet containing a practice ACT test from your school counselor. Looking at the sample questions helps you figure out what material is covered and what types of questions are used.
Don't be alarmed if you don't understand some of the questions. You 'll be learning a lot of new material in the next few years.
Remember, working hard in all your classes, learning as much as you can, and doing as much independent reading as possible are key ingredients in scoring well on the PSAT and SAT or ACT tests.
